Carlo Gavazzi Impianti is looking for a Site Manager for Our Projects in Italy who will manage and coordinate site activities aimed at constructing, pre-commissioning, commissioning and delivering the plant to the Customer, in compliance with the contractual requirements and objectives established by the Project Manager.

He/She will also ensure and coordinate technical and operational assistance to the construction site, guaranteeing the correct management of resources, facilities and all the associated documentation necessary for carrying out the assigned works.

He/She will represent the company within the contract site and guarantee constant supervision within the building site towards suppliers, customers and possible partners.

Duties and Responsibilities:

 •  Representing the Company in relations with the client, the subcontractors and with the local authorities regarding construction work and personnel on site.
 •  To guide the construction and delivery of the plants within the contractually defined program and according to the safety and quality requirements and the established budget constraints, with particular attention to the additional works from the original contract.
 •  Manage, organize and coordinate the personnel on site to ensure that the project is carried out within budget constraints, quality and safety requirements and the work plan.
 •  Manage relations with the client's building site, by preventing or correctly and promptly handling technical litigation, in accordance with the agreed general guidelines.
 •  Monitor full compliance with the procedures and legal provisions on the prevention of accidents, occupational hygiene, the organization and protection of workers, subcontracts and provisions against pollution and environmental protection, ensuring respect of the operational safety plan (POS) and quality plan (PDQ) within the limits of the Site.
 •  Operatively manage the vehicles and equipment available for the job order, promoting correct and safe use, coordinating with Fulfillment for routine maintenance processes, or reporting any extraordinary maintenance needs (both for owned and third-party vehicles ), guaranteeing real evidence of the status and use of the equipment inside the building site, in compliance with the company's internal procedures.
 •  Report any critical issues related to the availability and efficiency of resources, informing the PM of the problems associated with these and requesting additional resources from Fulfillment.
 •  Manage any disputes related to the supply, transport, subcontracting and provision of services within the construction site, informing the PM and the other departments involved of the performance of this activity and of any risks and criticalities.
 •  Coordinate the administrative and accounting activities related to the activity of the project for which it is responsible.
 •  Prepare the necessary documentation for the issuance of SAL and active invoicing, communicating and commenting the information produced during the reporting to the PM.
 •  Coordinate the inspection procedures within the Site, by the internal and external auditors (QA / HSE / Audit), acknowledging the registered non-conformities and implementing the necessary corrective actions.
 •  8 years or more of experience in the role of Construction Manager / Site Manager.
 •  Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering-related discipline.
 •  Advance knowledge of surveying techniques and equipment, design, and overall engineering and company standards required.
 •  Availability to travel.
