Job Title:
- Cluster Sales Manager Department: Sales&Marketing Reports to (position): Director Business Development JOB SUMMARY: The Sales Manager is responsible for developing business through direct sales solicitation, securing new accounts, maintaining existing accounts and executing tactical sales plans through a result driven approach, S/he can secure target results in the primarily assigned B2B segments (BT, MICE and/or Leisure) giving a significant contribution to achieve Company’s sales objectives. Represents Rome Marriott Park, Milan Marriott Hotel, Delta by Marriott Giardini Naxos, Ortea Palace Hotel, Sicily – Autograph Collection in his/her market in the main strategic national and international sales activities, in the regional and local market, in line with the commercial plan. S/he has a solid network and will manage a proper action plan and customer centric approach. S/he will manage an own account portfolio.
- Identifies new or existing markets/accounts that meet properties sales strategy;
- Develops a sales action plan to generate business from identified markets/accounts;
- Determines the account's needs and marketing activities of each assigned market/account;
- Monitors performance of the account portfolio and take actions accordingly
- Maintains and develop the RFP’s together with Marriott Global Sales Offices
- Executes regular analysis of the current market situation and competitors
- Attends the commercial meetings and translates the revenue analyses of the Hotels in his/her market into sales activities
- Plans and executes office visits and site inspections to increase visibility & brand awareness and to generate new leads/business for the assigned segments
- Uses internal Reports and external Sales Tools to generate new leads/business for specific segments
- Organize and actively participate in travel agents familiarization trips, sales trips and road shows;
- Spends majority of time in face-to-face customer interaction outside of the hotel REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Business or Hospitality
- Minimum of 3 years Sales experience in the hotel industry or similar industries, preferably with international brands
- In possession of a driver’s license
- Fluent written and verbal communication in Italian and English and preferably a second language
- Excellent speaking, listening and presentation skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as a team
- Diplomacy and ability to effectively deal with management, clients and team
- Ability to work under pressure and with tight deadlines
- Has the right hunting profile to seek new business opportunities
- Team player: s/he will be a role model for team work, s/he will encourage a positive team play.
