For Logista Italia we are seeking for a Procurement Manager, based in Rome.

The Role

The Procurement Manager for Indirect Purchases is responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies, managing suppliers’ relationship, and ensuring compliance, with a focus on indirect procurement categories, in order to optimize our organization's cost-efficiency and operational effectiveness, maintaining high-quality standards and fostering a culture of excellence in indirect procurement operations.

The person will report to the Italy Operations Director and will manage a team of buyers; he/ she will also be supported by the Corporate Procurement function based in Logista Group Corporate offices in Madrid with which he/she will always be aligned in terms of policies, procedures, guidelines, methodological approaches, in order to take advantage of all possible synergies within the Group

Responsibilities: Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive cost reduction initiatives while maintaining high-quality standards.

Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate favourable terms, and manage supplier performance.
Lead a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance, training, and support.
Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and best procurement practices.
Analyze market trends and stay updated on the latest developments in indirect procurement to make informed decisions.

Collaborate with various internal stakeholders to obtain an appropriate understanding of the needs of the internal customer in order to direct his/her work towards the best result by seizing every possible opportunity for continuous improvement and growth and align strategies accordingly.

Oversee the procurement process from requisition to payment, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.

Prepare and present procurement reports to senior management, highlighting achievements, challenges and opportunities

The Requirements

5 years of experience in a role with same level of responsibility within structured contexts, preferably in indirect procurement related to Operations.
Previous experience in a consultancy company or in a company providing logistics services is considered as plus
Structured and data-driven approach, people management, continuous improvement perspective, ability to manage internal stakeholders of various personalities assertively and flexibly.
Engineering or Economic degree
Fluent English
Excellent competencies in MS Excel and Powerpoint
