I’m collaborating with a globally leading renewable energy developer that is looking to hire a
Civil Project Engineer
with strong experience across
Solar PV and BESS projects
to join their team in
Milan .With ambitious growth plans across Italy, this is an exciting opportunity to join a multidisciplinary engineering team and contribute across the full project lifecycle, from early-stage development through to construction and commissioning. The role will primarily support projects in Italy, with some remote technical support provided to other jurisdictions, offering exposure to a broad portfolio of renewable energy projects.
ResponsibilitiesAct as a civil technical reference with a strong focus on Italian regulations, standards and design practices
Deliver civil feasibility studies and site assessments for PV and BESS projects
Review topographical, geotechnical, hydrological and environmental data
Prepare civil layouts, earthworks analysis and CAPEX estimates for civil scopes
Assess soil characteristics and foundation solutions for fixed and tracker systems
Carry out preliminary civil works analysis using Civil 3D
Coordinate standard designs for MV station foundations and site roads
Review PV and BESS layouts and support RFQ and contract negotiation processes
Review EPC engineering deliverables in line with local standards and contractual requirements
Support QA/QC processes, testing procedures, as-built documentation and site visits during construction
RequirementsMinimum
4 years’ experience
in civil engineering related to PV projectsDegree in
Civil, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering , preferably with a renewables focusFluent
Italian
and strong technical
EnglishStrong knowledge of Italian codes and standards (NTC 2018, relevant UNI/EN standards, Eurocodes, seismic and hydraulic requirements)
Experience across PV and BESS project design and construction phases
Knowledge of PV and BESS technologies (modules, inverters, trackers/fixed structures, BESS)
Experience with
AutoCAD
and
PV CaseUnderstanding of Italian PV authorisation processes
Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently in cross-functional, international teams
Willingness to travel within Italy on a monthly basis and possibly internationally
Strong MS Office skills (VBA a plus)
Basic electrical knowledge (LV, MV, HV) and QA/QC experience considered beneficial
