System Test Engineer

Mission/Purpose of Position
We are looking for a highly skilled System Test Engineer to join our Validation team.
In this role, you will be responsible for verifying and validating automotive systems and components through comprehensive system‑level testing. You will ensure test readiness, execute both manual and automated tests, and deliver clear and reliable reporting to support high‑quality product development.
This position plays a key role in guaranteeing that functional, performance, and safety requirements are met across multiple testing environments.
Key Responsibilities- System Test Development & Execution
- Develop detailed, traceable system-level test cases based on requirements and specifications.
- Perform manual and automated tests on various platforms, including System Functional Test Bench, Endurance Test Bench, System HIL, Software HIL, and vehicle testing.
- Analyze results, identify defects, and document findings using tracking tools.
- Test Readiness & Infrastructure Management
- Ensure all test benches, tools, and environments are available and fully operational.
- Define technical specifications for test benches and collaborate with suppliers for procurement and maintenance.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure timely delivery and reliable operation of test systems.
- Supplier Interaction & Bench Management
- Serve as the technical interface for System Functional, Endurance, Sys HIL, and SW HIL bench suppliers.
- Review and validate bench specifications.
- Monitor bench performance and drive continuous improvements.
- Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Prepare comprehensive test reports and communicate findings to project stakeholders.
- Support root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Contribute to process optimization and promote best practices in system testing.
- Test Automation & Tools Development
- Design and implement automated test scripts and workflows.
- Maintain and enhance test frameworks and tools.
- Collaborate closely with software and hardware teams to integrate automated test solutions.
- Strong understanding of automotive systems (ECU, CAN, LIN, Ethernet).
- Expert knowledge of system integration and validation methodologies.
- Experience with test automation frameworks and scripting languages.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools and communication protocols.
- Solid understanding of embedded systems and real‑time environments.
- Strong documentation, traceability, and defect management capabilities.
- Knowledge of automotive standards such as ISO 26262 and ASPICE.
- Problem‑solving mindset and analytical skills.
- Good command of English (Advanced level).
- Master’s degree in Robotics, Automation, Electronics, Cybernetics, Mechatronics, or related engineering fields.
- 3–5 years of experience in system testing.
- Experience in vehicle testing is a plus.
- Experience in automotive system and software testing.
- Leadership or coordination experience is considered a plus.
- International or intercultural experience is an advantage.
- ISTQB Foundation Level certification is a plus.
