Selection 90887/a - We are looking for a Chief Interior Designer with solid experience in creating luxury interiors for five-star hotels and high-end projects in the Gulf region.
Our client is an architecture and engineering firm based in Saudi Arabia, founded in 2004 and backed by over thirty years of industry experience. The firm specializes in architectural design, urban planning, heritage rehabilitation, and engineering services, successfully serving both public and private sector clients.

About the Role
As a leader, you will be responsible for overseeing and directing the design and implementation of high-end interiors that combine luxury, modern sophistication, and cultural relevance. With your expertise, you will ensure that each project meets the highest standards of aesthetics, functionality, and exclusivity, while always aligning with the overall vision and the client's expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design Leadership: Lead the overall interior design strategy for high-profile luxury hotel projects, resorts, and other exclusive developments in the Arabian region. Ensure the design meets the highest standards of quality, luxury, and innovation, while being culturally sensitive to the region’s aesthetics and traditions.
- Conceptual Design and Development: Oversee the creation of design concepts, from initial sketches to final design documentation. Develop interior schemes that integrate seamlessly with architecture, lighting, and furniture selections to create an immersive and cohesive experience for guests.
- Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work closely with architects, engineers, and project managers to integrate interior designs with the broader architectural vision of the project. Coordinate with developers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure the design is executed to perfection.
- Cultural Sensitivity and Relevance: Create interior designs that respect and incorporate regional cultural heritage, traditional art, and local materials, while ensuring modern luxury and comfort. Adapt designs to meet the specific tastes and preferences of clients in the Arabian market.
- Luxury Standards and Quality Assurance: Ensure that all materials, finishes, and furnishings reflect the highest standards of luxury. Manage quality control processes and work with suppliers to source premium materials that are both aesthetically appealing and durable.
- Client Relations and Presentations: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, presenting design concepts and updates. Manage client expectations, ensuring that design concepts align with their vision, while offering professional guidance and recommendations throughout the design process.
- Project Management: Oversee the full scope of interior design projects, from design conception through to final installation. Ensure that all deadlines, budgets, and project goals are met, while maintaining the highest standards of craftsmanship and attention to detail.
- Team Leadership and Mentorship: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of interior designers and support staff. Encourage creativity and innovation within the team while ensuring that design processes adhere to established standards and timelines.
- Sustainability Integration: Incorporate sustainable design practices and environmentally friendly materials where possible, aligning with global trends in luxury design that prioritize sustainability without compromising on quality or aesthetics.
- Vendor and Contractor Management: Manage relationships with suppliers, contractors, and artisans to ensure that all interior design elements are produced and installed as per specifications, timelines, and quality expectations.
Must Have:
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field (Master’s degree or certifications in luxury design preferred).
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in designing luxury interiors for five-star hotels and high-end, exclusive projects in the Arabian region.
- Extensive experience working in the Arabian region, with a deep understanding of local design preferences, cultural nuances, and architectural trends.
- Proven track record in designing and overseeing the execution of five-star hotel interiors and luxury spaces, with attention to both aesthetic and functional elements.
- Strong knowledge of materials, furnishings, and finishes that reflect the highest standards of luxury.
- Experience in project management, including budgeting, scheduling, and managing large- scale projects from conception to completion.
- Proficiency in industry-standard design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.).
- Fluent English. Fluency in Arabic or knowledge of the local language is a plus.
